Our history

MARATHON DISTRIBUTION GROUP was founded in 1991 as a local distribution company by Levent Atin and Aifun Suliman.

Durring years we added to our portfolio famous brands, both national and international.

We grew year by year, covering the entire national territory.

We have distributors nationwide, spread across 16 subsidiaries but acting as one team.

We have four divisions:
- Bakery
- HoReCa
- Traditional Retail
- Modern Retail

STORAGE, LOGISTIC and DISTRIBUTION

We have a fleet of 552 vehicles, as following:
300 vehicles for pre sellers
230 vans up to 3.5 tons
12 trucks up to 18 tons
10 trucks of 20 tons

Increase minimum order value
We upgraded our fleet, doubling our carrying capacity, from 4 to 8 pallets
Logistic Hub in Timisoara, to serve the western area of the country. Saving 50.000 Euro / year.

We have a team of 35 merchandisers and 7 regional supervisors, covering all important selling points, especially IKA, every day.

Our Sales Department is structured in five divisions: Modern Retail, Pastry, Bakery, Traditional Trade and HoReCa.

We have 16 warehouses, all of them with their own sales force and storage capacity (refrigerated, ambient and frozen).
